Wow how time flies! We have never been so busy with just life. The weeks are flying by. I was trying to wait to write until I found my camera, but it still hasn't shown up--so sorry no pictures this time.
This month was the Robotics competition. It was Isaac's first time and he had a great time. Since Alex had already done this challenge, they asked him to be an assistant judge. He was excited and loved that too.
Bruce spoke in our ward on Mother's Day and did a great job. I had a great Mother's Day which began with chocolate chip pancakes in the shape of an "M" and a heart. And the kids did a good job singing in sacrament meeting.
Isaac and Caleb are on the same soccer team and Bruce is their coach. They are all enjoying that.
Last weekend was the father and sons camp out. It had poured rain for two days before and we thought for sure they were going to cancel it, but they didn't. So instead of setting up a tent in the mud, Bruce and the boys slept in the van. With all but one seat out, they had luxury beds for the camp out- Bruce was on a twin matress in the back. The went fishing and had a great time. While they were gong the girls had a fun "girls night" here.
I cannot even tell you how excited and relieved I am that I had my last turn doing preschool--forever!!!! I think I've done it like 8 years or something and I did enjoy it, but I am so glad to be done!! Julia is registered for kindergarten next year and is so excited to join the big kids at school.
We are still adjusting to Maddie. She is so good with the kids, but is just one more thing for me to take care of. She adds to the chaos!
I chaperoned two field trips last month. One with Isaac to Jamestown and York town--which you have all been to now. :) And then I went with Alex on his 5th grade adventure to this fun place which included a huge zip line.
Alex is just behind the tree going down the zip line.
He had to walk across the wires to get to the top of the zip line.
We are all getting super excited for our trip out to Utah this summer!! We are trying to get this going for that so we have fun things to do along the way.
Other than that, we are all well and trying to hang on until school is out on June 19th.
We send our love,
Pixtons
A few more things I forgot............
Rachel was nominated, then applied, and was accepted into the Junior National Honors Society. So she was happy about that.
Alex applied and was accepted into the French program for middle school next year.
They have been working with the youth in our ward teaching them how to use Family Search. Rachel's best friend is a ward Family History Consultant (age 13). Last week she helped Rachel find some names and within 3 days she has found over 130 ordinances that need to be done on both the Ackermann and Pixton sides. It is an amazing thing that the Church is having the youth do this work. They are so much better at it than I am!!!

May - Travis & Diana
I can't believe how fast this school year is flying by. In a few
weeks school will be out. Joshua is counting down the days until his
birthday (9 more days). Aurie is looking forward to her first girls
camp. It will be the week after school gets out and Travis will be
going to scout camp that same week. The boys have high expectations for
partying out while the two of them are gone. Not sure what we are
going to do.
We are all doing well.
We are all doing well.

May The Original Ackermann
Spring is here (kind of) and we are out side working in the yard and planting in the garden. We are loosing some of our garden space while Dad works on the fence and we had to transplant the strawberries. They all lived through the transplant. Yea! There is a lot of work to do but we would rather be outside working than inside working even though there is a ton of stuff to do in the house. At Easter, Aurie and Sophie wore shirts that matched the fence that dad painted. (picture) Look at that color!
Grandpa and Andrew on Easter ........ Aren't they cute!
Tyler was the star in his Special Needs Mutual roadshow .....Shrek.... a fractured fairy tale. He did such a great job and boy did he love it.
