Ackermann Reunion 2013

This last month has been busy. ( I think I say that every month. It must be true.) School is in full swing now. Haley is the last one in elementary school. She is not loving the back to school transition. Thankfully she loves her teacher as is getting used to being in school all day.
Matthew was just accepted onto student council and made it into After School Jazz Band with his trombone. He just earned his purple belt in karate.
Abby has make the volleyball team and is loving it. It's been fun for us to go watch her play.
I think Emisha still lives here, but we never see her. With Early Morning Seminary and after school Tennis practice she is pretty busy. Throw in occasional evening rehearsals for her choir and high school social life, she is crazy busy. Unfortunately she is prone to Migraines. Hopefully we will figure out how to manage those.
Blake and I just run to keep up with everything. Life is good.

September - Travis & Diana

Things are going well for all of us here.  Still no buyer on the house, which is a little frustrating, but it is out of our hands at this point.  Now that school has started, I'm not as anxious to find a buyer since that would mean getting everyone readjusted to a new school.  Speaking of school.  The kids all seem to be liking it.  Aurie is in Junior High and takes the bus now.  She is going to be in the school play this fall and also in show choir.  She is still in dance, so with that and young women's, she keeps pretty busy.
Luke seems to be enjoying kindergarten, although today he said he wished it wasn't so long.  He is in half day kindergarten, which who knows how he would have handled full day.
Travis has been super busy.  He has been working 12 hour days for the last few weeks and so its nice that his latest big project is complete.
We were able to go on some fun hikes over Labor Day and some other weekends this month.  Here are some of the pictures.
I wanted to add these pictures in sequential order, but for some reason its not letting me.  so here are some mixed photos from three different hiking excursions.

Bald Mountain 11,943 feet.  Whew!
Overlooking the valley below.  It was amazing!!

Joshua taking a rest on the way down from Bald Mountain.

Overlooking twin lakes.

At the trail head to Bald Moutain in the Uintah mountains.  We all made it to the top...even Sophie with an occasional piggyback rest.

The boys with there walking sticks.  This was our hike to dog lake, but we got rained out and didn't reach the end.

Luke, Ian, and Joshua.  Inside a small cave that we discovered along the trail.
