Barnards Sep 2015

It's been a few months, so rather than bore everyone with too many details, I will share just a couple of things for each of us. I know Grandma loves pictures, so hopefully she'll enjoy the plethora of photos!

This Summer we spent a week in Colorado for a Barnard Family Reunion. We stayed at the Jellystone park by Colorado Springs. Thanks to Shannon for introducing us to JellyStone.

Blake: Blake has had a great bike season. Between May and Sep, he participated in 3 50 mile races, one 70 mile race, where he placed 7th, and one 35 mile benefit ride.
April: This school year I signed up to be a substitute teacher at the schools. I have had a few jobs so far and am really enjoying being in the classroom again. I joined Blake on the 35 mile benefit ride.  It took all I had to make it, but I did it.
Emisha: Emisha turned 15 and started 10th grade. She has seminary, choir, orchestra, honors biology, and honors Literature. She still works at Orange Leaf on Saturdays. She's very busy but loves doing everything. Her big choir concert is coming up this week. She is in a small ensemble singing a barbershop style "Yesterday" by the Beatles.

Abby: Abby is now in 8th grade and is Queen of the school. She is the cutest cheerleader Ever! She is also on yearbook staff this year and has loved every assignment requiring a photo. She bought an ipod touch off of a friend and loves completing yearbook assignments on friends and unsuspecting middle schoolers.
Matthew: Matthew turned 12 this summer and received the Priesthood. We are so proud of him. He was able to attend his first youth baptisms for the dead session. I snuck in while he was being confirmed. He had the biggest grin on his face. Afterwards,  he said that during the baptisms, his smile kept getting bigger and bigger. During the summer he took a pottery class. His teacher entered one of his bowls into the state fair where it won a 2nd place ribbon.

Haley: Haley is in 4th grade. Her teacher is Mrs. Green and she loves her. Haley and I get to spend 1 1/2 hours together each morning while everyone else is at school. Haley is doing great on piano and started gymnastics this summer. She is already in the 2nd class.

We have two new additions to our family:
Meet Zoe

 Meet Max

We love you all and hope all is well!
